We are neighbors who want to have accurate information about the proposed Amazon Prime Air operation and its potential effects.

We are not opposed to innovation or technology.

Most of us are Amazon customers. We value the convenience of ground delivery and want to keep it that way, without adding commercial drone traffic over our neighborhoods.

Our concern isn't limited to one company. As more retailers and delivery services explore drone delivery, we want to ensure that commercial drone traffic doesn't become the norm over residential neighborhoods without community input.

We are asking for meaningful public input and careful consideration of community impacts before approval and operation. Our neighborhoods should not become a testing ground for a new form of commercial air traffic without meaningful community participation.

Questions we are asking:

• How will flight paths be determined?

• How often will drones fly overhead?

• What happens when routes change?

• How loud will they be from a backyard, bedroom or home office?

• What happens when a drone encounters a person, pet, vehicle, tree or other obstacle?

• How will privacy be protected?

• What safeguards and protections would be in place for residents and property owners who are not participating in or using Amazon Prime Air?

• What long-term impacts could commercial drone operations have on our communities?

• Who gets to decide how and when commercial drone traffic becomes part of our residential skies?
