II’m calling to register my strong opposition to the introduction of commercial drone delivery services, including Amazon's Prime Air program, in Westborough and the surrounding area. Commercial drone delivery raises many unanswered questions about noise, safety, privacy, the environment, and impact to property values for everyone in the 7.5 mile delivery zone, even if residents choose not to use drone delivery themselves. Based on experiences in other test markets, these drones are having devastating effects on communities. Please do whatever you can to prohibit commercial drone delivery, slow-down the approval process, and support regulations establishing noise limits, altitude restrictions, no-fly zones near residential areas, and privacy protections for drone operations.
